If you want to know about the best of South African choral meets jazz music, Portia Nobesuthu Qubeka is the first to come to mind. She was born in Orlando West, Soweto, South Africa. Her singing has seen her perform on some of the world’s greatest stages wowing the likes of Bishop Desmond Tutu, choristers from England and Liverpool as well as audiences from the Southern African Development Community including Ghana.

She runs music workshops for the Department of Educations Choir Conductors. She is a nominee in the CEO Magazine Women's Awards, in the Arts category. Her admired performances with legendary Victor Ntoni and his Big band, on a project called Jazz meets Choral are the most memorable in the hearts of her fans.
